Hope House Frequently Asked Questions.pdf
Hope Houses - Our voluntary programs offer a 4 step process that involves individual goals for personal development and celebrates accomplishments. We understand the journey to healing often takes time and each individual is unique, therefore, our program works with each individual to develop a plan that serves her best. We offer a long term shelter program for domestic minor victims ages 12-17 and a transitional living program for domestic victims ages 18-25.
We place strong emphasis on security, keeping the survivors safety our first priority. All volunteers are given a criminal background check and go through a specialized training program. We have a team of licensed counselors ( specializing in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy), psychiatrists, physicians, and other professionals all working together to help each resident. At the Hope House for minors, we are recognized as a non-public school under NC General Statutes, Ch. 115C, Article 39 and each resident completes 4 hours of education each day, combined with 2 hours of life skills. In addition to education and life skills. we offer arts/crafts, recreation, ability to earn money through Fields of Hope (handmade products), mentoring program, and more.
Additional operational information can be provided upon request. There is NO CHARGE for our programs. We are funded by individuals and private foundations.
